Activada primera unidad de la Luftwaffe dotada con helicópteros NH-90/First NH-90 Luftwaffe unit forms

El pasado 21 de Octubre se activó el primer escuadrón de la Luftwaffe dotado con NH-90, en la base de Holzdorf.
La nueva unidad, HSG64, está dedicada a transporte, SAR y SAR de combate CSAR. Además se encargará de la transición desde el UH-1D, al que sustituirá.

On October 21 the first NHIndustries NH-90 squadron for the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) formed at Holzdorf Air Base near Schönewalde.
The new unit, HSG (Hubschraubergeschwader) 64, is the Luftwaffe’s first all-helicopter wing comprising three sections dedicated to airlift and search and rescue (SAR), combat SAR (CSAR) and training for the transition from the UH-1D, which the NH90 will replace.
